Jacob works for Twin City Group, a local, family owned independent insurance agency. He got into property and casualty insurance license in July 2010. It runs in his blood – Jacob’s great-grandfather started the company in 1913 and it was passed on to his grandfather, then on to his dad who has been running the agency since 1980.
Jacob has worked a variety of jobs in the past, but his favorite and most rewarding (other than insurance, of course) was as a ski patroller. He first started at Afton Alps when he was 17. In college, he did it professionally for Keystone Resort in Colorado.
As if insurance isn’t enough, Jacob has been a member of Business Networking International (BNI) for just over a year. He is also on the Young Agents Council, which is part of the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers. He also loves skiing. He has been skiing since he was two years old. He also enjoys mountain biking and cycling, though not so much mountain biking since being back in Minnesota. Someday, Jacob hopes to be a halfway decent golfer.
